HANDMADE SUGAR COOKIES
One Girl Cookies Founder Dawn Casale's inspiration came from the fig sugar cookies made during family gatherings.
Dawn loved the idea of enjoying small bites of various cookie flavors. So she made small cookies so that several could be savored with no guilt!
Dawn chose actual girl's names—ones that were evocative of a simple, romantic time and place. Some were the names of Dawn's relatives, others were not, but they all fit the “personality” of their namesake. For instance, the shortbread, caramel, chocolate layer bar was rich and sultry. Lucia was a perfect name and it was also her great grandmother’s name.
The One Girl Cookies family is now boasting names such as Lana, Sadie, Penelope, Juliette, Cecilia each being the expression of a flavor...
